The Lovely Bones coming to theaters Dec 11 2009

Many parts of this film were filmed in Chester County Pa. The school parts were filmed at the North Brandywine school. The Diner scenes were shot at the Double D Diner in Coatesville Pa. where I was lucky enough to be allowed in for the shoot.  Very exciting time for Coatesville, movie trailers packed into Cash High School Vo Tech parking lot.  Very exciting.

The Lovely Bones is a 2002 novel by Alice Sebold. It is the story of a teenage girl who, after being brutally raped and murdered, watches from heaven as her family and friends go on with their lives, while she herself comes to terms with her own death. The novel received a great deal of critical praise and became an instant bestseller.

Alice Sebold lived in Norristown Pa for a period of time and also attended Great Valley High School in Malvern Chester County

Just wanted to tell the person who wrote this thread that the school used in the film was not North Brandywine it was South Brandywine Middle School.

Also, the neighborhood and houses used for the film are located in Malvern, PA right next to General Wayne Elementary School.
