ANDREA YATES
Andrea Yates was born in Houston, Texas to Jutta Karin Koehler, a German immigrant, and Andrew Emmett Kennedy, whose parents were born in Ireland.[4] Kennedy attended Milby High School, where she graduated as class valedictorian in 1982. She married Russell “Rusty” Yates, a computer programmer for NASA, on April 17, 1993, and the couple moved to the community of Clear Lake City, in southeast Houston.
Andrea Meets Rusty Yates: Andrea and Rusty Yates, both 25, met at their apartment complex in Houston. Andrea, who was usually reserved, initiated the conversation. Andrea had never dated anyone until she turned 23 and prior to meeting Rusty she was healing from a broken relationship. They eventually moved in together and spent much of their time involved in religious study and prayer. They were married on April 17, 1993. They shared with their guests that they planned on having as many children as nature provided.
Michael Woroniecki was a traveling minister from whom Rusty purchased their bus and whose religious views had influenced both Rusty and Andrea. Rusty only agreed with some of Woroniecki’s ideas but Andrea embraced the extremist sermons. He preached, “the role of women is derived from the sin of Eve and that bad mothers who are going to hell create bad children who will go to hell.” Andrea was so totally captivated by Woroniecki that Rusty and Andrea’s family grew concerned.
On June 20, 2001, after her husband left for work at 9:00 a.m., Yates filled the family bathtub and drowned her three youngest sons, Luke, Paul and John. She placed their bodies next to each other on a bed, placing an arm of each boy over another. The infant, Mary, had been in the bathroom in her bassinet, crying. She became the fourth victim. When her eldest, Noah, entered the room, Mary’s body was still in the bathtub; after asking his mother what was wrong with Mary, he attempted to flee.
[13] Yates caught him and drowned him next to Mary. Yates took Mary into the other room, laid her next to the first three, and covered all four with a sheet. Noah was left in the tub.
Yates called
9-1-1 and calmly asked for a police officer to come, asking for an ambulance only after it was suggested by the operator. She then called her husband at work, ordering him to come home. Russell pressed her until she told him she had hurt the children. When Russell rushed home, he found police and medical personnel had already surrounded his house.
Russell was kept waiting outside for five hours as the medical examiner processed the children’s bodies.
SUSAN SMITHSusan Smith (born September 26, 1971 as Susan Leigh Vaughan), is an American woman sentenced to life in prison for murdering her children. Born in

South Carolina, and a former student of the
University of South Carolina Union, she was convicted on July 22, 1995 of
murdering her two sons, 3-year-old Michael Daniel Smith, born October 10, 1991, and 14-month-old Alexander Tyler Smith, born August 5, 1993. The case gained worldwide attention shortly after it developed
On October 25, 1994, in Union, SC, Susan Smith drowned her two children and then reported that a car-jacker had stolen her car along with her two children. Approximately one week later, Smith confessed that she had drowned her children by driving her car into a lake with her children trapped in the car. On the show, several experts (doctors, FBI Agents, etc.) felt that Smith wanted to kill herself and her children, but as the car was going into the water Smith at the last minute bailed out of the car leaving her children to die. Nonsense. They can speculate all they want but lets see what Susan Smith has to say about what happened that night.
David and Susan decided to get married because they were both against Susan having an abortion. Although marriage represented safety and stability to Susan, it also meant that she would have to give up her plans to attend college. Susan desired to go to college, but she really had no idea what college she wanted to attend or what she wanted to study,
Prior to the kids’ disappearance, Russell was busily campaigning or Newt Gingrich and his minions. Russell was a Republican leader in South Carolina and local organizer of Pat Robertson’s Christian Coalition. Whatever counseling Russell underwent had little impact. The murder trial revealed that he was still having sex with his stepdaughter as recently as two months before she killed her kids.
While nothing can begin to excuse the horrendous act of drowning children in a lake, it’s clear that Susan Smith suffered far more trauma in her youth than any girl should have to endure.

DEANNA LANEY
The Deanna Laney murders were the killings, by Deanna Laney, of her two oldest sons (Joshua, 8, and Luke, 6) by stoning.
On
3 April 2004, a
jury acquitted her of all charges by reason of
insanity.
Deanna Laney, who bludgeoned her two young sons to death last year because she believed God commanded it, was legally insane and could not distinguish from right or wrong, a jury concluded Saturday.
Deanna Laney stoned her three sons in 2003, two of whom died, because she believed God wanted her to.
On 11 May 2003, Laney, an East Texas housewife, locked her sleeping husband in their bedroom and then went to Joshua and Luke’s room. She escorted Luke to a rock garden in the front yard of their home, which is encircled by a white split-rail fence. Laney told her son to lie down with his head on a rock and she took another large rock, raised it over her head and brought it down onto his skull. She then killed Joshua in the same manner. Both children were found dead with large stones lying on their chests. Aaron, the third son, 14 months old, was attacked with a rock in his crib but did not die.
During the investigation, Laney claimed God ordered her to bash in her sons’ heads.
CHRISTINA RIGG
Christina Marie Riggs (1971 –
May 2,
2000) was a
murderer executed in
Arkansas by
lethal injection. She was convicted of the
November 4,
1997 murder of her two preschool-aged children, Justin and Shelby Alexis Riggs, in their beds at the family’s
Sherwood,
Arkansas home. She murdered her children by giving them undiluted Potassium Chloride after giving them Elavil to sedate them. The potassium chloride was not diluted properly. It burned her son’s veins, causing Justin terrible pain but not death. She eventually smothered him to death with a pillow along with her daughter because of the potassium chloride was ineffective. Coincidentally, she was executed with a potassium chloride injection, the same substance with which she attempted to kill her children.
An eternity ago, Christina Riggs spent her days shuttling her two pre-school children to day care, working as a licensed practical nurse and managing a calamitous love life. Now her days are filled with monotony, silence, solitude and soul-crushing guilt. Riggs was convicted last year of smothering her two preschool-aged children in their beds at the family’s Sherwood home. She is the only inmate on the state’s newly inaugurated Death Row for women at the Correction Department’s McPherson Unit at Newport. She could become the first woman executed in Arkansas in modern times.
But there’s another distinction that sets Riggs apart from the rest of Arkansas’s condemned inmates. While many claw desperately for life through legal appeals and appeals of appeals, Riggs is what in the death penalty business they call “a volunteer.” She says she has appealed her death sentence only reluctantly. And, the condemned woman says, she’s eager to die. “I’ll be with my children and with God. I’ll be where there’s no more pain,” Riggs said in a
What is going on in the bible belt? Why do many of these so called christian woman who are so against abortion in the beginning end up killing their children later? If you look at the cases above, and this is just an example, there are many more. There is always religion involved, many are from the South, many from Texas. What are the conservatives pushing down the throats of many people, they aren’t real christian values. A real Christian doesn’t take a life at any cost, just like the hypocrites, George Bush, Gov. Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, who love the death penalty, if they were true christians as they preach, they wouldn’t want to take a life at any cost.
Look at Susan Smiths Step Father, he was campaigning for another conservative hypocrite Newt Gingrich, he was the organizer for Pat Robertsons Christian Coalition preaching
the bible and the Republican Party while molesting his step daughter. This is sick.
Im sorry, but the Republicans have got to stop pushing this Christian conservative issue, they are way out of line here, they use the Bible for campaign purposes and that is so whacked, the Republicans should be ashamed of themselves pushing Religion for gain, then living lifes that would even make the devil cringe!!
